6G-INTENSE

Project Overview

6G-INTENSE is a 6G Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) project that proposes a System Architecture for 6G, to deliver “6G as a Smart Service Execution platform”, fully in line with the vision of sustainable infrastructure sharing. With the aim of reducing space and energy costs and encouraging collaboration among all members of the value chain under a unified Network-Compute fabric, the project's key contribution is a novel automation architecture with a "Native-AI" toolkit, facilitating user- or machine-specified "intent" declaration, negotiation and decision automation across autonomous domains, termed as Distributed Intent-driven Management and Orchestration (DIMO). "Sensing" of link quality and performance, as well as user mobility patterns, are adopted as key enablers, helping navigate the complexities of multi-stakeholder 6G environments and the lack of reliability of the "Deep Edge" consisting of heterogeneous Edge/IoT devices.

Intracom Telecom Participation

Intracom Telecom will build on its expertise on Cloud-Edge Management Platforms and AI-driven mechanisms, with the main role of leading the technological pillar of "Network-Compute Fabric for 6G networks", including Cloud-Edge Computing resource exposure and network service lifecycle management automation. Moreover, Intracom Telecom will lead a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) on Distributed Continuum towards pervasive computing based on distributed deployment and orchestration of an adaptation of the company's commercial CDN platform (fs|cdn).
